I just had to share this one too coz I like the design and I also made it with my Cannon (Coats) threads. Got the pattern from solutia yarns. Pattern available on the web archives.
Thanks to my pretty sis who gladly models for me. Incidentally, she now owns this shawl since I wore it once to a party and she wanted one too, so I gave it to her.
Absolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the shwal Mimi!! How many balls of thread did it take to make?
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna and Kimberly!! I hope you've seen this shawl posted at crochetville, I think many were interested in making one. I used exactly 4 balls of monaco thread on this, and also a size 3.00mm steel hook.
ReplyDeleteI love your shawl! I am making an "Evening Shawl" I need to finish it some day...(I started it last summer...)
ReplyDeleteYour secret
"YarniePal"
:))))
Incidentally, I am pretty...but the shawl is prettier...and the bear modelling the earflap hat is the prettiest! Hahaha =) Thanks for the shawl...from the bottom of my heart. It will be seeing many places with me.
ReplyDeleteHi, Mimi! I found your blog through Crochetville. I had to come visit because your name is "Mimi" and you're from the Philippines! You see, I have a pen pal named Mimie (short for Minerva) and she is from the Philippines. She is in Canada right now, though. But she and I have known each other since we were 12! And we are 37 now! Wow - 25 years! One day she and I will meet. But I just wanted to leave a comment on your blog to say "hi!" and I love to look at the things you create and your stash! :) Keep bloggin'! :)

ReplyDeleteHi Dasani, the instructions start with the pattern-stitch. To start the shawl, read through the rest of the instructions.
