This had been an unfinished bag for the longest time. It was supposed to be a backpack, but I decided to just finish it as a tote.
This one is my recent favorite. I call it mini fat-bottom bag (same as the bag in my previous post).
Here it is again, turned inside out. I love the coordinating lining, which I just got from my stash.
That's really nice Mimi! I really like to make the fat botton bag from Stitch n Bitch but can't find the book locally. I found an almost similar Japanese pattern but the cabled edging was the most difficult part, it's still my WIP. I think I'll have to try this pattern after finishing the first bag.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, the pink one is so so sweet! Great work!

I really love the mini fat bottom bag!! Those would make excellent gifts!
ReplyDeleteThe first bag is beautiful! Looks like tapestry crochet. The way the mini fat bottom is reversible is great! Love it! You matched the lining so nicely!
ReplyDeleteLove the bags great job as always. They both are cute:)
ReplyDeleteYour bags are all so cute, I really like the little mini fat bottom bag. I love small purses but can never get all my stuff in them, I don't know why I use them... :P I'll have to downsize. Great work as always, Mimi!
ReplyDeleteGreat bags....you are the Bag Queen!!
ReplyDeleteThose are so lovely! Mimi, you are so clever!
ReplyDeleteGotta love a tote bag! I really like the design on it as well. The pink bag is too cute! :-)
ReplyDeletehi can you please tell me what i have to omit to get my bag that small.
ReplyDeleteThanks all...love to read your comments :D
ReplyDeleteQ: can you please tell me what i have to omit to get my bag that small?
A: I really did not modify the design at the beginning, except the thread I used (3 strands crocheted together) is probably less bulky than the original. I did add 4 more rows to the main part, to make it proportional.
I love this red bag..... congrats on your new creation.....
ReplyDeleteLove the mini fat bottom bag--you said it was a free pattern on a Japanese site and to follow the link--what is the link and is it translated into English? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, if you are on Ravelry you would see the details of this project. But if you want the link to the pattern here it is: http://www.gosyo.co.jp/img/acrobat/keito-zakka/28/37899/B.pdf
ReplyDeleteHowever, Japanese patterns are based on diagrams and there's no English translation.
