My favorite crochet shrug

I really didn't think I'd be making another one right after the previous breezy shrug... I guess the chilly nights inspired me to come up with a warmer shrug. Besides, I had to continue on where I left off with these (ugh!) shrug projects.
Of course, I still chose cotton thread for my material ;) I also have not gotten tired of this shade of brown, so even if I got lots of other colors in stock, I still bought the 3 balls of cotton thread size 8 for this project. Luckily, the store near our house has the color I wanted.
I also had the magic hook (size 4/0, equivalent to 2.5mm) I wanted to use to create the right tension for the thread. A looser tension will make it more holey than I intended, and a tighter tension will make it heavier.
I'm happy with the result, it looks and feels just right...this is my favorite shrug from now on ;)

  5. I like how elegant this looks. Now you have a Breezy Shrug for the summer days, another shrug for the casual summer nights and the Shells and Flowers Shrug for more formal event. And I completely agree with you that these shrugs are so addicting!
