Eco-friendly crochet contest

Hi, I'm inviting everyone to take a look at the entries and vote on the etsyhookers creative challenge. Voting is open to all.

The theme of this Challenge is Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose. Members were asked to create items that are environmentally friendly. Items could be crocheted from eco friendly yarn, repurposed yarn (yarn made from plastic bags, fabric strips, or old garments, etc.) and also can include recycled items (such as CD's, plastic rings from can tops, etc.).
I didn't have any entry for this contest, but I already cast my vote :)

  1. This is GREAT idea! Can't wait to see what artisans come up with. Way to save the earth...and thanks for the heads up.

  2. It's funny, because I have been cutting up plastic bags recently. My youngest son has been learning about recycling in homeschooling. So I showed him how people crochet with plastic bags, then I showed him how I cut them into strips..

I cast my vote, too. ;)

  6. Hi! I just wanted to say that I enjoy reading your blog. I do not have one myself on blogspot yet, but I might soon to detail my own adventures in crocheting.

It is nice to find a pinay out there blogging about crochet. I am a Fil-Am attending college in Iowa right now away from my family and somehow reading your blog makes me feel closer to home :)
