Yay...! Cardigan finished!...do I get a prize?...

I finally finished the cardigan last night, now I get to model it. But alas, its too big! I didnt realize it would turn out this big when all the motifs are put together. Well, I'm a small size and I think this cardigan is a large size! Anyway, here it is:

Pattern: Garnstudio designs cardigan
Materials used: 5 balls Cotton thread size 8, natural
Crochet hook size 3.5mm

  2. THanks Shaylen! I thought I was doing a good job at it as I was working on the first sleeve. I did try it on, and it looked right, but because the body was too loose for me the sleeves hung lower and thus it ended up too long...hehe...I guess I should be taller and wider for this cardigan ;)

  7. That turned out lovely, Mimi, even if it's a little big for you. WTG! I am finally starting to catch up with everything since I finished my project a few hours ago.

I'm definitely going to have to make that cardi, it's beautiful!

  8. Thanks, Goldi! Its really quite an easy pattern to follow. Would love to see you make one too and see how it looks with a different kind of thread. I think it'll fit you just fine =)

  14. Oh Mimi, it's gorgeous! I'm in total awe of you, really. You are so tiny! You know, that looks more like a medium --- it would probably fit me, lol!

Wonderful job, I knew you could do it!!!!!

  15. It looks so elegant on you Mimi. I love it. I'm thinking of BLACK ;) over a very light coat similar from what Neo was wearing in the movie, "The Matrix", perhaps a black leather gloves, and boots and of course my black leather airline backpack. Ops! just plain flaming red lipstick and hair tightly bundled up.

  18. Thank you everyone!!!

Tina, I already got the prize - a lot of compliments, what a surprise!

Jaye, you're right its a medium - I'm really so small, though I was even thinner before. I'm now gaining weight =)

CL, I also think it would look good in black, not for me of course. It would look gorgeous on you!

Fal, your shrug is lovely and you could really wear it! (I'd have to make a smaller size to wear...)

Kimberly, all the cheering and encouragement from crocheting friends really make all the difference in my projects. What would I be doing now without all of you wonderful people?...

I hope it's not to late to say this:

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!

The cardigan looks great! Your prize should be a new bundle of yarns so you can make more beautiful things like this! =)

  21. Thanks sis!!! Well, this doesnt cost much in materials since this is made of thread. This cost a big amount of time and effort, which I dont think I can have more of ;)

  25. Thanks for being honest, Beth :D
Unlike you, I dont have children to take care of so I have time to crochet for myself. You are still young and enjoying crocheting for your kids, and I envy you!

  26. Hi Ate,

Yeah, I love making stuff for my kids...buti na lang malayo ang mommy ko kasi aarborin niya yung mga gawa ko :D LOL!!

But right now I have decided to make a project for myself (at last) palagi na lang para sa mga anak ko yung mga ginagawa ko lately.

    You are an inspiration!!
